"When we arrived the property looked run down and in an isolated area. I should have known to have been concerned by the security precautions on reception/ The receptionist tried to be helpful but language was a barrier- only spoke French. The website advertised a restaurant - this is a lie. There is no restaurant for this accommodation. There is a best western across the road but this was out of our price range and there are no nearby shops at all. We had to order an expensive takeaway. The room was FILTHY DIRTY! There was a crusty dirty sock under one of the beds, the mattresses smelt dirty and stale, and the bathroom had PUBIC HAIR all over the floor, doors, and walls. The area felt unsafe for myself and my two children- the bolts on the doors would not lock as they had clearly been previously broken and I tried to stack our luggage in front of the door to feel safe. I was too worried to open the window at night so the room was too hot to sleep in, very smelly and none of us slept at all - not ideal for the 11 hour drive we had the next day. Appalling accommodation- would never stay at one of these ever again!"

"An ideal stopover before or after the Dover ferry, or tunnel. Small but adequate rooms,with a kettle. Easy free parking and a restuarant. There are also a few eating places within a few minutes walk . A little expensive for what it is. But worth it for the location."

"Room was in poor condition some items broken and I have used this hotel many times before but now you have to pay for parking (the only campanile that does charge for parking)"
