"We love Citadines and stay there whenever we’re in Sydney. Lovely staff, superb location and clean and simple rooms. Best of all is the price. It’s a bargain compared to staying in the city."
Lowest nightly price found within the past 24 hours based on a 1 night stay for 2 adults. Prices and availability subject to change. Additional terms may apply.
Hallways were pretty drab, but the rooms were just great. Incredibly comfortable beds, top quality bed linens, wonderful shower. There is a cafe on the ground floor that was fantastic. Pretty neighborhood; and the Miranda mall is a very short walk away. We would absolutely stay there again. Price is very modest. Staff was super nice and helpful!!
Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room with a nice city view. Free parking was a definite plus as opposed to many hotels in the area. Being part of the Bankstown Sports Club presented MANY quality dining options. 2 block walk to the train station made travel anywhere in the metropolitan area very easy
Perfect location in Sydney for my honeymoon! We received a free room upgrade and once staff learned it was out honeymoon they surprised us with a free bottle of champagne and chilled glasses right at our door. We had a beautiful view on the top floor, and the bathroom was clean. We would absolutely stay here again.
I was there for only one night before I was to fly out of Sydney airport so this place was very convenient. Having the shuttle to the airport helps. There are some dining options around the area. But I just grabbed something to eat/drink from a grocery (Woolworths) across Cahill Park about 10 minutes walking from there. The room had a refrigerator which helps a ton for me.
We stayed at the Meriton (Campbell) in September 2017.
Taking the train from the International Airport terminal to Central Station was quick and easy. We got in at 7:30PM so the train was rather empty. Getting an Opal card at the airport for the train was quick and easy as well. Once at Central Station finding Pitt street was a little confusing, but once I figured out where we were, it was a quick 5-10 min walk to the hotel.
At the hotel we were greeted by Reese who was really pleasant...
We had been in Australia for a few weeks and only needed a place to crash that was downtown and cheap for two nights before our flight home. This was perfect. No frills. Small room. Reception was only open when we showed up. Convenient bar downstairs takes care of anything afterwards. Their fish and chips is good. Walking distance (for us- late 40s active) to 2 harbor areas. Did I mention the bar downstairs? Bottle shop (liquor store) attached and a large size, for a downtown, grocery store...
GENERAL: Everything was spacious, roomy, and new. The building is right next to a river, with a walkway/sidewalk on the bank that was relaxing to walk along.
BEDROOM: The king-size bed took up most of the bedroom but there was still room enough to walk on 3 sides of the bed. There was good access to the large closet on one side.
KITCHEN: Instead of being just a hallway with a sink and refrigerator, the kitchen was actually a small room itself. Two of the walls were full of windows, which...
This was a great location once you worked out the public transportation, from buses to the light rail, you can get anywhere in Sydney.
The room is a good size and the heating and A/C is good. The only thing that can be improved on is the bathroom its a little bit small without much storage. If they would install shelving on the mirror it would improve the bathroom a bunch.
The staff was excellent and the coffee shop across the street was great.
When I get back to Sydney, I'll be staying...
Very clean and spacious hotel in a desirable yet quiet part of the city. Concert venues were nearby and easy to get to. Lots of things to do in the area such as shop and eat plenty. Had no issues whatsoever apart from there being no microwave in our room, but otherwise an exceptional stay with amazing staff.
The staffs were nice and helpful. Elevator was out of service but the staffs offered to carry my luggage up and down the stairs which were very helpful. The building was built in 1911 which I experienced the table lamps on both right and left went off and back on few times . I checked the light bulbs and electrical outlets seem fine. Hopefully it wasn’t a haunted building as my friends tried to scare or tease me. Lol
Otherwise the great convenient location had me extended my stay for 2...
This property is in an excellent location! Walk to The Rocks, Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, and Darling Harbor. Train station is about 2 blocks away. Fantastic basic apartment-style room. If you want luxury, look elsewhere; if you want a safe, clean apartment-style room in a perfect location, look no further. I would definitely stay here again.
Everything about the hotel met or exceeded expectations. The front desk staff was one of the best I have ever dealt with anywhere in the world. The only negative I would mention for traveling families is the translucent wall between the bathroom shower and the sleeping area. Great for travelling couples not so much for families with kids.
