My partner and I made an emergency reservation fairly late on the same day we were meant to arrive in town. We encountered some extenuating circumstances during our vacation, which meant we needed a safe place to sleep for a couple of nights. Despite this short notice, our stay was fantastic! What a wonderful place to spend three nights in Tasmania! If you want a quiet, beautiful and relaxing spot this is it. Exceptionally clean, amazing delicious food and the best staff to keep you taken care of. Our thanks to Jess, Hillary and Richard who made our stay most enjoyable.

The hotel has taken the time to create beautiful well groomed trails in the forest. The cabin is spacious. You are close to the Huon Valley with all its attractions. And you are on your way to Southern Tasmania. Great package of features!

Great cabin in a quiet location. Comfortable and clean, would stay again for sure. Only problem I had was email from them went to junk mail. No reception. Will get email with key code to room, but make sure you get this before you arrive.

It was home away from home—with a much more comfy bed. Thoughtful considerations make it a 5 star experience!

The Islington is a wonderful place to stay in Hobart. I was initially going to book downtown, but decided to try the Islington. I was very pleased with that decision. We had a great dinner at the property. The room was quite and comfortable, and we had a garden patio out our back door. The staff was very helpful, and the setting with the house and art work, makes you feel like you are staying with a rich relative that had very good taste.

We are regular costumers. Always kind staff. New technologies. Quiet, big and clean rooms.

We stayed two nights, separated by a two day, one night GBR snorkel trip. Jeannette very graciously allowed us to keep everything in our room for the extra night without having to pack and unpack again. VERY much appreciated. Room (#9) was huge with separate sitting area. Breakfast was modest, and it's a $20 taxi ride to town. Otherwise, a charming, comfortable place to stay.

This is an indecently managed inn located in a quiet upscale neighborhood. There’s bus service into town but we found it easier to use Uber. There’s nearby food at a casino or even better a coffee/breakfast shop and restaurant a few hundred meters south.

The property is on a bluff at a convenient location, relatively close to the ferry with fantastic views. While in an area with many close neighbors the house was quiet and private. There is a nice deck overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was spacious and well appointed. The full breakfast, served in the sunny breakfast room overlooking the beautiful gardens, was yummy. Although a car is a must for staying here, the accommodation is otherwise convenient to downtown Hobart and a great choice as a base for exploring the area.

The unit was well designed, tastefully furnished and quite comfortable, with a two story design that allowed for a spacious open area and functional kitchen, with the second level containing the two sufficiently large bedrooms and a bathroom. On site laundry was a definite plus and the complimentary laundry detergent was much appreciated.
