This property is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff are highly attentive and really take care of you while you are on site. The addition of the animal sanctuary makes it a very eco-friendly destination. We stayed for one week during which the surrounding jungle and wildlife were the stars of the show.

Such a magical environment, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Allen’s passion for the forest and animals is contagious and encyclopaedic ; we learned so much. Melissa was amazing, you can feel the pride she had for her property the second you pull in the gate. Breakfast was delectable and the room was super cozy and spacious. Mins to a back entrance to the beach, great location! Thank you for all your help and hospitality Melissa. Will be back for sure!

Our Room was more like a suite with kitchenette, small sitting area and huge shower. Breakfast was amazing... Better than in the "fancy" =expensive hotel we moved to. Good location between towns of quepos and Manuel Antonio !!! Would definitley go back.

My mom and I stayed at La Mariposa. We had separate rooms. I stayed in room 45 and she was in 24. The views from both rooms were breathtaking! My room had a better view and had a coffee pot, fridge, microwave, and stovetop also pots and pans, flatware and plates. My moms room did not, but I paid more for my room. A nice, small hotel literally a few steps from the Park entrance. A great location for the area. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great. Good starting point for our Costa Rica trip. The monkeys on the roof in the morning were free-of-charge. Is this the Ritz? No, but it is clean and comfortable. If you're a posh traveler, then perhaps this won't be your spot, but if you're a regular person, don't hesitate to stay here.

Perfect location with super friendly staff. Can walk to the beach in a minute or could even walk down the beach to the National Park if you wanted. My stay at the Layan Hotel in Manuel Antonio was unforgettable! The service here is truly something special. One moment that stood out was when I asked if I could leave my wet clothes in my car, and the staff offered to keep them in the laundry room instead. This was such a wonderful place to stay. The view from the balcony are amazing, as are the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The kitchen was also well stocked with supplies, which really came in handy, and I liked the German novel left by someone in the room. We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they helped us book a tour to Caño Island, which we highly recommend. The apartment’s kitchen was very well equipped, the pool was really nice and relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious :) We had a great experience overall and would definitely recommend this place!

We stayed in the two-bedroom villa. It was a little difficult getting to at first but it worked out. We had an enjoyable stay. The staff were great and the restaurant/bar was a good option for convenience, if nothing else. The road up is a bit challenging by U.S. standards but we had a 4X4 SUV. I honestly do not know how anybody drives a sedan. With all the potholes and dirt roads, you would tear up your car. We would stay again at this property.

El Faro has an unbelievable ocean view, and it's right next to Manuel Antonio National Park. Additionally the hotel bar and restautant were really good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked this hotel because of the price even though we didn't see a lot of recent reviews and it didn't disappoint. It was clean, check-in was easy, breakfast was included and cooked to order. A great location that is close to a few restaurants, including the airplane bar so no need to drive when looking for a place to eat or get drinks. A two mile drive to Manuel Antonio Park or there is a bus stop that is very close to the hotel if you don't want to have to worry about parking when you get...
