Vila Gale Tavira Resort Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great place in a convenient location"
The Prime Energize Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Lovely hotel and in great location for restaurants and beach. Fab breakfast too. Negatives was pool and availability of loungers - we didn’t get access on 3-4 times we tried to use the pool as there were no loungers available at all or any seats in the shade - not great if you don’t like the beach. Also no introduction to any of the hotel amenities by the reception staff on arrival. I was aware that there were bikes available but none seen during our visit; no idea where the spa was! I’m aware we could have asked but why wouldn’t this be spoken about at check in? Our room was perfectly clean during our stay with lovely rituals toiletries and fresh bottled water daily but I wouldn’t bother with a suite upgrade as the living space consisted of an uncomfortable sofa bed and small table in a dark room at the back of the space - weird layout!"
AP Maria Nova Lounge - Adults Friendly
10/10 Excellent
"A gem of a hotel in walking distance of a charming town centre with plenty of places to eat. Found the food and drink in the hotel of great quality and excellent value. Going back next year."
Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco
10/10 Excellent
"Super Hotel and broke our journey up with children very well 👌"
Quinta do Morgado - Monte da Eira
8/10 Good
"Restaurant and bar and shopping on property so easy to just relax"
Ozadi Tavira Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Arrived checked in with no problems and shown to our room , which was a triple deluxe room. Lovely comfy beds-even the sofa bed was very comfortable! Bathroom was very spacious and towels changed daily, we had to squish a few ants but I guess you can expect that in Portugal. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. I especially liked the small plates- stops people taking huge potions and wasting lots! The dining room was lovely- not so ‘canteen like’. Highlight at breakfast was the pastel de nata- which were freshly cooked and still warm on occasions! We only used the hotel restaurant on 2 occasions but were very pleased with what we ate there. The swimming pool was lovely- great atmosphere, nice and quiet with no loud music! We were a group of 3 and could always get loungers. We made use of the free beach towels too- nice touch. We used the minibus into tavira and the beach which was great, the only criticism was the bus didn’t start early enough, run late enough or often enough, so we used Uber taxis which were cheap enough at 7-10 Euros each way. I would definitely stay here again and Tavira town is beautiful- hoping to return!"
Pedras d'el Rei
8/10 Good
"The property was as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. I would have preferred not to pay a cash deposit though for the wifi router- as you do not get this back until you leave. As I am UK the 20 Euro at end not so useful. The surrounds pool and location is wonderful. Such easy access to the beach via walk or train. The beach is breathtaking along with view of the Ria Formasa. I will return. The local staff friendly. I was made to feel welcome."
DoubleTree by Hilton Islantilla Beach Golf Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Had a great time … buffet in the evening expensive for the selection available but lots of nice restaurants in the area .."
Residencial Marés
8/10 Good
"This was a nice place to stay in the middle of town (short 3-5 minutes to almost anything—so many great restaurants and cafes). The hotel has a lot of character, The room was nice, but definitely on the smaller side. Our room had a great view of the river and the center of town. Breakfast was free and was delicious. Parking is free but about 2 blocks away in a busy public lot on the river (away from town). Both times I parked I somehow snagged the last space there. There is another free lot not too far."
