"There is nothing at all to complain about the property as its location is excellent and the structures are full of character whilst having been modernised to a very high standard. The main house on the estate looks like a picture from Downton Abby with its huge lake behind the B&B. The breakfast was as good as it gets - all in all a great place to stay."

"Amazing stay at The Inn South Stainley. I booked this stay as a surprise for my husband for his birthday and my birthday being the week after. We’d planned to visit the tractor show at Newby hall so was ideally located. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. They even left a birthday message and treat in our room which was greatly appreciated. The food for dinner and breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely return in future."

"Lovely village pub perfect location for us to visit fountains Abbey rooms were comfortable and lovely and warm its basic but thats all part of the charm of this lovely old pub breakfast was an extra £10 each but was delicious and plenty of it the landlord made sure we were well looked after and had everything we wanted.we had a few drinks in the bar and there was plenty of choice and it was nice and cosy area to catch up with friends. Would stay again."

"This is a relaxed small hotel - a bit like a guest house / hotel with good dining and bar for locals. Sawley is very convenient for Fountains Abbey but isolated - a car is essential. The Spanish chef was very good, as was the room andvthe staff attentive "
