After my latest stint working in Afghanistan, I needed to see some green and blue and wanted to just relax. I was initially unhappy because the resort was overbooked, and they wanted to put me in a nearby 4-star resort for two of my six nights, Candi Beach Resort. After some negotiating, I was upgraded for those last four nights at Rama Candidasa, to make up for the inconvenience. Both resorts were beautiful with excellent service and smiles. During our first night there we had some issues with the air conditioner, which the staff tried to resolve straight away and kept on checking on during our whole stay to make sure that it was working fine and that we were comfortable. There is also a clinic on site which was very helpful as my mom fell sick during our trip and to make us feel right at home the hotel sent us a Get Well Soon bouquet to our room. The hotel staff takes the time to get to know you and make sure that you are enjoying...

We stayed a week for our 25th anniversary. Perfect for that occasion. It would be inappropriate with children, infirm or elderly - stone stairs to anywhere, lots of quiet, mostly honeymooners.
