My husband and I stayed four nights and had a very positive experience. The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early. The hotel has a low density in terms of number of rooms and a relaxing atmosphere was prevalent. It was lovely fine days full of comfort from the always helpful stuff, gorgeous garden to walk and relax in, and a marvelous cliff overlooking the marina and sea of Funchal. The balcony/terrace was south oriented - full of flowers in pots, with a sunshade, table and chairs - lovely place to take a glass in the evening.
The only small minus was a bit of possible noise from neighbour's room, but that wasn't a problem, rather just a notice.
The hotel is situated in the country, near tall trees and grape vines, convenient to hiking in that part of Madeira. The views were lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. For the 3 of us, the room was a bit crowded, but okay.

The studio was an excellent place, we would love to return someday. The room is spacious, clean and within walking distance to the natural pool. In fact, the front desk gives out free tickets daily for guests to enter the natural pool.

The room was clean, updated, and bright, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and perfectly sufficient to start the day. Parking was easy, and the garden was beautiful, which added to the overall atmosphere.

Closed to the beach and a lot of stores. We took bus 1, 2 and 4 to the center Funchal (€2). The bus stop is close by and also took the aerobus to and from the airport. Only €6 per person, which is way cheaper than a taxi fee. Breakfast was very nice. They have a omelette station, fruits, bread and hot food selection.
It was a good decision chooosing to stay out of the City of Funchal and stay at this charming hotel with tranquil atmosphere that i feel well rested during my 4 night stay. The Staff were very friendly especially at the Restaurant, clean and spacious room, comfy bed, and it's also a big plus with Restaurant: serving good and traditional food. The breakfast buffet offers good choices of fresh fruits, fresh bread sortiments, home-made jam and their tasty omelet is never to miss.
