Hotels in Kampung Sungai Ara

This traditional shophouse-home is so beautifully restored that it could be considered a destination in itself. Staff is so kind and considerate I felt right at home. Guesthouse fully deserves its good reputation

Staff was cheerful and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. There were many USB power outlets in the room, making it easy to charge devices. There was not much table or shelf space for personal items. A drawer or 2 would be much appreciated.

Neat and clean, secure and safe environment

I loved the rainforest setting, good birding on the property and surrounds. Wifi weak and slow. Food excellent, try the lamb in mint sauce. A bit far from town, get a taxi phone to call when you leave.

Clean

Axis is a small, locally owned hotel in the middle of town. The rooms are quite small with a compact bathroom. There is a TV with a couple of English stations, hot water and AC but the wifi is basically unusable. With only one small table there isn't much room to put your things other than the floor. The hotel is basic, the rooms are small but the staff is friendly and helpful and for the price it's hard to complain. Except for the wifi, not much to complain about.
