Very old and historic location. Rooms are large and modern but still with historic touch.
Some rooms are in higher floors without elevator so if you can't climb, make sure to request rooms on the ground floor
Right in the heart of the old section of Cottbus. Perfect location. Staff was helpful and breakfast was excellent. Self service laundry worked out well, and everything functioned as expected. Our room was on Floor 3 (the Fourth Floor in Europe) and the roof of part of the hotel was below our window. They could have just had us view the vents, but the entire roof below our window was sodded and planted with wildflowers. Nice touch.
Can’t speak for all parts of the hotel but if the 2 story buildings are anything like the 1 story 5 unit building we stayed in, this is a great place to stay in. Street view side of the building is misleading and a really nice hotel with attached restaurant. Only negative is housekeeping didn’t make the beds every day and missing shower mat towel several days of our 4 day stay. Used the bikes they have to make a tour around the lake.
Good hotel, easy to reach. Small but comfortable rooms. Language barrier was the only issue, since they only speak German, and could not provide you information or advices.
Our host was a sweet gentleman who gave us a tour of the property, showed us where the breakfast would be the next morning and escorted us to our room. It’s located in a secluded quiet area. We loved the change of scenery! The free breakfast was incredible! We would absolutely love to return!
