We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally good - so friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring the Dalsland area. We were able to hike, swim, paddle board, and kayak. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. We'll be back!
We enjoyed our stay at the Stadshotell. The room was great overall, although it could use more counter space in the bathroom. Frukost was great, although you need to learn to make CRISPY bacon, not lumps of fat. Restaurant menu was outstanding.

What a great staff and property. The staff made sure we were satisfied with our accommodations and even offered us apples from their trees for snacks. The grounds were beautiful and looked over the lake. Our room was one that had not been renovated but other than being aged it worked well. There was plenty of room and the beds were comfortable. It was clean and had a nice cross breeze for the hot hours. Breakfast was delicious, ample and well priced.
These are nice little cottages with some beautiful scenery. You check in at the hotel/restaurant, then drive up the hill to the cottages. They are nicely equipped with a kitchenette, so you can have a nice meal overlooking the lake. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful.
Rooms facing highway have a fair amount of road noise, no air conditioning so not able to shut off noise (does have an air vent window, only one floor so did not want to leave main window open). Good breakfast and scenic breakfast room. Very clean, friendly staff. Not much else in area but a good overnight stay. Would stay again.
