Perfect place to stay away from the chaos of Heraklion! The food in the restaurant is AMAZING - definitely try the grilled mushrooms if you can (we had it twice)! The homemade white and red wine are also amazing! The room was clean and spacious, and the property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Nicolas was an amazing dinner host. We loved every minute of our stay!
We loved it there, we spent 10 days there. And plan to likely return. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the apartment was spacious, clean, cleaning service every 2nd day. The pool was beautiful and nice, a kids pool also. Loved waking up to the view of the sea and mountains!
The grounds of the hotel are absolutely beautiful and breath taking, and the gardens beautifully maintained. We had the sea view room which didn’t disappoint - a beautiful view over Agia Galini! We also liked that the hotel was a bit removed from the busy tourist beach, but still easy walk to everything. Room was clean, new, nicely decorated and the bed was super comfortable.

A fantastic place to stay. If you want to have a small Greek village experience, you will love this hotel’s location. Yet, it’s an easy drive to several ancient sites and the cool town of Matala. Situated on shore in a central location with many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Room was fine, if basic. Hotel has a small parking lots a few hundred meters distant. On street parking looks doable. The hotel offered a nice farewell gift. Overall, pleasant. It undoubtedly will be nicer when weather is warmer, the pool is usable, and the activity on the shore is busier.
This spot is a steal. Right on the beach. Staff was very friendly. Short ride to the City Center and Ferry Port. The only recommendation that I have would be to have better wifi service in the rooms.
This hotel was the highlight of my trip to Crete. The setting and facilities conjure up a traditional Cretan Village with lush greenery, sunny terraces and beautifully decorated rooms equipped with a fireplace and refrigerator, plus balcony. We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete.
our tiny studio apartment with kitchenette was perfect for our home base in Crete. We were able to use local buses and did not have to rent a car. we saved a lot of cash by cooking many meals ourselves. Every day we enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony where we ate our meals. Just a short walk to sandy Amoudara beach. restaurants near the waterfront are much more expensive than just a few blocks inland. We were able to hike up into the hills as well as the broad beach areas.
