Cute Hotel in quaint village outside of Marburg. The room was spotless, the front desk staff super helpful, and the food was great. Breakfast was included in our room cost as was a full buffet. Dinner in the restarant was great. Location was a bit more outside of Marburg than stated (seemed more like 7 miles vs 3 km) and buses are infrequent. But cabs and rideshares are reasonable. Take a walk around the town - cute farm buildings!

wish they told me their lovely would be closed for a private dinner before I showed up and Thomas curtly turned me away away and would not suggest where I might go instead, but the manager who welcomed me initially, she was cool, and the place was otherwise perfect for my needs.
I was impressed from beginning to the end of my stay. The hotel was very modern and I found it very comforting. Don't be fooled by the unimpressive exterior because once you step inside, it'll be like being in a modern art museum.
The room was spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice.
The building has a lovely traditional, older feel, which works really well in the restaurant, reception and hallways. I do feel the rooms, particularly the bathroom, could benefit from a little update while still keeping the character of the hotel.

Marburg is probably my favorite old city in Germany. The oldest university town in Germany and fortunately not damaged during the war. The village of Amoeneburg nearby sits atop a large hill with old houses and the ruins of a 10th century castle.
Decent hotel, very close & convenient to the train station. Good breakfast in the morning & quick and easy checkout. Not luxury, but perfect for a quick stop over when traveling.
