This small hotel is a family business running. A son who is a front desk receptionist is giving out the warmest feeling. He made me feel welcome at home and helped organize my plan of interest to spend time efficiently. If I go back to that area again, I am sure will stay there again.
Our stay at Anantara's Golden Triangle Resort was perfection from start to finish. The property is stunning, set in a huge jungle expanse with elephants roaming (talk about a room with a view)! Our suite was a major wow - the views of course, but the amenities were thoughtful and they provided everything we could have needed + more. Service was fabulous - attentive and gracious without being overbearing, which I find the perfect balance.
We had one daily activity included and the activities...
It's a newly built hotel, very clean and spacious. The only negative was bad WiFi in my (newer) building. Perhaps the other building has better WiFi. If you are coming by bus or van from Chiang Mai, ask to drop at the traffic light immediately after the National Museum (which is 3 minutes walk from the hotel).
Thank you for a wonderful peaceful stay. The staff were great! Everyone from the front desk, breakfast and housekeeping. I loved the balcony view of the Makong River! Very relaxing to watch the boats on the river.
The rooms were pretty authentic to like the way the hill tribe people live in they had sachets and candle spring for the insects which was a nice touch since there were many in the mountains. Breakfast buffet was delicious views were stunning staff service top notch.
