Great hotel and onsen, especially for the price. We were assigned one of the 8th floor themed rooms with the Aso bear as decoration—adorable and great room. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. It was the perfect gateway into our Ryokan/onsen experience with beautiful & spacious accommodations in a super private and relaxing setting. Having our own onsen with view of the mountains was an absolute dream after a week in the big cities. The attentive staff were exceptional and brought dinner to our room that we cooked over the coals for a unique experience. Overall an incredible retreat to come back to after a busy day of onsen hopping. Truly a first class experience!
