I love staying here. The staff was great, breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and spacious. There was even a snack area serving yummy ice cream, coffee, and sparkling wine! It's a homey family-friendly place but hot spring area has decent space. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Bathroom inside the room was small. Plenty of eateries around the hotel but it's a good distance from main train station so we had to taxi around every time we went out.

If you're travelling to Hakodate via the Hokkaido Shinkansen you'll want to take a cab to this Hotel as it's a 20 minute ride. We were greeted at the door by the concierge and they insisted they cart our lightly packed backpacks all the way up to the room. The staff was extremely courteous and very helpful when it came to sightseeing. The breakfast buffet is one of the most diverse I've ever seen and depending on the day you have a wonderful view of the ocean as well. The onsen is well kept...

This house is a bit hard to find on Google maps, and sits exactly along the shores next to other beach properties. It's is best to Google 小浜理容店 barber shop (179, 179 Nesakicho, Hakodate, Hokkaido 042-0924, Japan) next door because the address given on the website doesn't register with the taxi services. The view is breathtaking and the back side of the house gives a panoramic view of the water through windows that run all along the back of the house. But the small beach is not accessible or...
