If you're travelling to Hakodate via the Hokkaido Shinkansen you'll want to take a cab to this Hotel as it's a 20 minute ride. We were greeted at the door by the concierge and they insisted they cart our lightly packed backpacks all the way up to the room. The staff was extremely courteous and very helpful when it came to sightseeing. The breakfast buffet is one of the most diverse I've ever seen and depending on the day you have a wonderful view of the ocean as well. The onsen is well kept...

Very smooth check-in. The place was really beautiful. The location was good, too. Quick walk to the red brick area. 20 minute walk to the ropeway. This house is a bit hard to find on Google maps, and sits exactly along the shores next to other beach properties. It's is best to Google 小浜理容店 barber shop (179, 179 Nesakicho, Hakodate, Hokkaido 042-0924, Japan) next door because the address given on the website doesn't register with the taxi services. The staff provided the 'Superb' service. I stayed at the annex building which was a bit dated but totally clean for 4 weeks. I had access to sauna, washing machine, dryer, kitchen sink, microwave, ice machine & Free breakfast. It took me 11 minutes to walk to Goryōkaku where I could enjoy viewing the cherry blossom & I loved it. I highly recommend this hotel. If I ever have the chance to visit Hakodate again during cherry blossom season, I will not hesitate to book this hotel again.
