The hotel is very conveniently located next door to the station. It is a little shabby but seemed clean. The bathroom is one of those molded single unit ones, and it was installed up a full step from the room and the step was awkward. Also, the tub is not properly supported underneath, so the bottom flexes and pops when you step in it. The tub is also one with a very high side and there is no bar to aid in getting in and out.

We loved the small village feel of Yokote. The Hotel Plaza Annex provided modern amenities, but had an old world charm. The onsen baths on the first and second floor were beautiful and relaxing. Although not especially convenient regarding access to the station, it would be an amazing place to stay for the Daisen fireworks festival given that it is literally across the street from the festival grounds and has floor-to-ceiling windows on the top floor.
