We had the best time at the Doowall this week. It’s quiet and serene at the hotel and it’s only a short distance from the White Temple. Coming back in at night and seeing the temple sparkle in the dark is a truly magical moment, especially when in a Tuk Tuk. The food was incredible, I will think about that yellow curry with crispy mushrooms for the rest of my life. The staff was so helpful and kind. Only stayed for one night but room was very comfortable and clean. There was a coffee shop at the premises. A simple breakfast of bananas and toast was provided. Great value. Staff was kind.

This hotel was formerly the Dusit Island Resort. While the service and F&B were always very good, the hotel itself had become dated and was past due for renovation and modernization. Earlier this year the hotel was closed for 4 months during which time a complete total renovation of the entire property was completed, after which it recently re-opened as The Riverie. The place was clean and well kept. It was great relaxing place and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even helped us book a private driver and transfer to Chiang Mai. Absolutely amazing service.

This was an amazing experience at an amazing property. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We were also provided not only with breakfast, but also dinner and afternoon tea. The Meridian lives up to the high standards of a Marriott hotel. It’s a large resort located along the river providing nice views for most rooms. We had a suite that was modern, spacious, and comfortable. Check-in was smooth and easy – even when we identified a complication with the reservation.
