"ホテルの顔である玄関の自動ドアの電源が切れてて、手動を強要してる。 Wifiが使えるか聞いたら、ロビー近くしか使えないといわれた。にも拘わらず部屋にランケーブルも無ければ、言わないと貸してくれない。大荷物持ってるのに階段でどうぞ！と言われた。（エレベーターもあるのに） 部屋の鍵が解りにくいのに説明なし。（鍵を回しながらドアを押さないと開かない）ホテルの門限23時。 歴史的には有名な地である点と川の中州に建てられたホテルなので景色は良いけど、何もなくて不便だった… フロントも居たり居なかったり、呼び鈴を押すタイプ。 愛想は悪くなかったけど、シルバー人材センターのアルバイトって感じだった。 掃除はよくされてたけど、施設は古く快適とはいいがたかった… 眺望は良かったけど、リピートはしないな。"

"First of all, you must be charmed by the decoration and personality on display at Koke-Musu-inn. The place is alive with character. Then the staff welcomes you with their own charm and the package is complete. I found the care taken to provide a comfortable stay very impressive. "I stayed at the Chaya house which was absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly and a joy to speak with. Otsu is a smaller quiet town with lots of character and friendly residents. I highly recommend checking out the local Izakayas and cafes for an equally excellent experience."

"The staff were incredibly nice even with a bit of a language barrier but we figured it out. The area is quiet and peaceful. The room was so cute and the building. It was a bit far from Kyoto but it was nice escape after a long day. And public transport was close by (10 min walk). Loved my experience and would definitely return and recommend. "

"We had a very nice, large, twin bedroom facing Lake Biwa. The room had a couch seating area and was still large enough for us to comfortably keep to big suitcases open in the room and easily get around. Breakfast service was good, with a variety of Japanese and Western dishes available. We also used the Club Lounge in the afternoons for tea and in the evenings for drinks and canapés.
