"Breakfast a bit mediocre but always piping hot. Evening meals wee excellent. Very well cooked and executed perfectly.
Rooms are adequate but a bit small. Bathrooms clean and shower powerful and hot. Bed was comfortable. Loved the ability to help yourself to treats."

Halifax Hall is a unique jewell in the area of Sheffield in which it lies. From the beautiful architecture of the building to the peaceful grounds on the Sheffield University, Halifax Hall is a one of a kind experience! The room was cozy and comfortable with all amenities included. The staff were extra kind, friendly, and professional. The restaurant and pub provided outstanding food and service, The complimentary snacks available were very much appreciated. The location was like being set...
Came up the day before surgery at the hospital, which is virtually next door. I went for surgery at 6.4am and hubby stayed with our dog. had breafast. Car park easy and staff lovely. Made it all a lot easier.
Thank you
I stayed at this hotel for several nights; the room was clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with finding a place to park my vehicle. The parking garage is close by, not attached to the hotel and is not accessible to the public, being very secure. There were some properties in that area close to the hotel that appeared to be run down, and my feeling is that it could be unsafe at night.
We stayed at The Cavendish Hotel on the Chatsworth Estate last October and loved the area and Chatsworth itself. The Devonshire Arms in Pilsey is also lovely, but more casual. We had a room in the farmhouse with a four poster bed and it was very comfortable. Note it sems every village in Derbyshire has a pub/inn called the Devonshire Arms so you DO need to specify Pilsey to get the correct one. Even more confusing there is another Devonshire Arms on the Chatsworth Estate at Beely which is...
Newly renovated hotel above a pub. Room is clean and comfy. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Had a great time at the pub with the town folks! Friendship hotel lived up to its name!
Beautiful inn with a pub/restraunt attached. My best meal in the UK so far! The room is maybe the cleanest rented room I have ever been in! So unique and comfortable. 5 stars, i cant recommend enough
If you're seeking the quintessetial English county location, this is it. The scenery is beautiful. There is a wonderful pub and restaurant, where the food is actually exceptional. Our room was fantastic, clean and authentically English. Well-appointed with a comfortable 4-poster bed. The Bull Head Inn seems like a bit of a fairy tale, but is not at all contrived. Truly authentic English charm.
I saved up for this trip for years, so decided I would splurge a few times on hotels and the Cavendish was one of them. I was not disappointed! The room was huge, beautiful, comfortable, with all amenities, clean and did I mention gorgeous?
I had a lovely view, the light was excellent, the bed was heaven. Both restaurants in the hotel served excellent fare with outstanding customer service. The formal dining room was one of the prettiest rooms I have seen, although the chairs were created...
