Crowne Plaza Utrecht was perfect for my stay. Stayed total of 10 days. A bit confusing finding the entrance as it is inside a mall. But once that part was figured out it was great. Super short walk to the train station. Right in the center of town. Plenty around. Staff were attentive and incredibly helpful with any needs. Would recommend.
We were there overnight. A very short drive out of town. The hotel is lovely. Staff were friendly, room was much bigger and more comfortable than what's available in town for the same price. Definitely worth it if you have a car. Not much in the neighborhood; in the summer I am sure the green areas would be beautiful, but it was winter so they were a bit grey and rainy (well, it's the Netherlands!).
The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was very comfortable and I decided to take the breakfast which is a marvelous spread of different foods. Highly recommended!
We booked a standard room and ended up in an executive suite. We lived like royalty for five days! That said, the entire property is lovely, and I'm sure we would have been happy with the standard room too.
Beautiful old building in the heart of Utrecht, which has been restored to a very high level. Perfect for anyone who wants something different from the identikit chain hotels. Unfortunately there was scaffolding on the exterior during my stay, but I guess that is the price of maintaining a very old building and I am sure it is a temporary situation.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of Utrecht. It is indeed a boutique hotel, small, cozy but with a vision and a concept behind it. The decor is rustic/industrial/reclaimed material, conceptually very modern but also clean, uncluttered yet warm.
