I don't speak any Dutch but had no difficulties as the staff (including the waiters) spoke excellent Englsh - there was even an English menu in the dining room. Food was good, kind of plain and "solid" rather than fancy or gourmet, but that's not necessarily a bad thing when travelling. Gorgeous setting in a quaint, small walkable town. We were given (what I consider) the best room available with the best view of the river. Lots of riverboat activity. Beautiful sunsets. Good food.
I was surprised about the nice location and beautiful town. The hotel is pedestrian zone in front of a beautiful church, just 2 min walk to the river but has a free parking area. Beside is a good restaurant and bar.

The only thing i would recommend for the room is a chair and side table/desk. The only furniture was the bed.
