Neat and clean, secure and safe environment

I loved the rainforest setting, good birding on the property and surrounds. Wifi weak and slow. Food excellent, try the lamb in mint sauce. A bit far from town, get a taxi phone to call when you leave.

Checked in late in the evening and stayed for a night, staff were friendly. The corridors are quite echo-ey. Room was great, clean and comfy. The furnitures seemed new. Free bottled water and 3-in-1 coffee packets. There's shampoo, body shampoo, shower cap. TV worked pretty well but I prefer to watch on my iPad. Check out was a breeze.

Good location to walk round and exploring the museums, food, Ipoh historic culture in the Concubine areas. It's new and clean with friendly stuffs. Plus, the price is very reasonable. Drop off/Pickup is a little bit inconvenient due to the entrance at the curve corner with short stop. I would like to stay in this hotel again when I visit Ipoh again.

Staff was cheerful and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. There were many USB power outlets in the room, making it easy to charge devices. There was not much table or shelf space for personal items. A drawer or 2 would be much appreciated.

I really liked the food and timeliness of the food room service. Again the food choices were really good and it arrived in a pretty short time from ordering.

Clean

The front desk person was friendly, had a good sense of humor. Helpful. Our room was good size, clean and comfortable. It would have been nice if the restaurant and bar had been open. But with today’s staff shortages, was not surprised.

Axis is a small, locally owned hotel in the middle of town. The rooms are quite small with a compact bathroom. There is a TV with a couple of English stations, hot water and AC but the wifi is basically unusable. With only one small table there isn't much room to put your things other than the floor. The hotel is basic, the rooms are small but the staff is friendly and helpful and for the price it's hard to complain. Except for the wifi, not much to complain about.

All good. Well maintained heritage structure. Superb location for old town discovery. Good food choices within short walk.
