I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Lerwick than the Fort Charlotte Guest House. The place is a gem, a mere steps from the heart of Lerwick. The rooms are clean, quiet and cozy. The staff is hospitable and full of helpful ideas and advice.

This was a great place to stay. My sole complaint is only being offered instant coffee. There must be a way to do real coffee -- pods, tea/coffee bags?
We loved our stay at Busta and only wished we had another day there. Staff was fantastic.
The front living room for tea, whiskey or just hanging out was spectacular in charm and comfort. Historic place visited by Queen Elizabeth in 1960. Connection to Shetland TV show adds another fun feature. Great location — less than an hour from Lerwick and close to north and west mainland areas.
Not the fanciest hotel BUT great location and the room was large, clean, comfortable and priced right! Couldn’t ask for more. Parking easy. Dinner was great. Breakfast was wonderful - what a way to start the day exploring Shetland. Ate one night at Frankie’s fish seafood - it was great. Make sure to make reservation if you want to eat at restaurant otherwise it will be take a way. Staff at hotel were great. I would stay here again.
