"Faulty outlet didn't let us get any good sleep. There was no maintenance to fix it. The headboard power keep going on and off. When I checked the outlet it sparked. The pool was dirty. No apologies no upgrades for our next stay which was a week after. The breakfast was decent and the staff was nice"

"The room was great, the staff was great and the cleanliness was great! There were two minor issues that I really didn't care for, First, the outside noise from other rooms and folks was higher that what I expected. Secondly, When I got up in the morning the first thing I did was to make a cup of coffee from the Keurig coffee maker. Well, it was unplugged which I didn't know at first (thought it was broken) but I then followed the cord and saw that it was not plugged in, the receptacle only had 2 outlets and one was in use for the microwave and the other was being used for the mini fridge which I unplugged as it wasn't in use so I did get to make a cup of coffee. I will say that after making the coffee, it was terrible (I didn't expect the best but this was not good, close to the worst,they may want to change brands? The sugar packet only contained 1 sugar and 1 creamer. I used 2 packets and it still didn't help! I do travel quite a bit and other chains beat this coffee, hands down, along with better packets!"

"Clean room and property. Breakfast was great for being free and parking was easy. The bar/restaurant was just a small area attached to the reception desk. Not sure if it was even open. "

"I did not partake in Breakfast. Parking was convenient. My issue was my reservation. I reserved a King Suite & upon arrival was informed there were none available & I would be given a double bed, which was NOT what I wanted "

"Although I was genuinely happy with the sweet staff at breakfast (the kindest woman who was so sweet and loving to my 5 kiddos), the property was ROUGH. It smelled awful of weed throughout the hallways and rooms, and my kids asking if 'a skunk got hit on the road near us'. The carpets were stained with all kinds of colors in the rooms. There were zero sheets for the pull out sofa and only one small extra blanket to use for it. The doors to the rooms were so hard to open in spite of doing the 'tricks' of turning handles up vs down and leaving the guest card in vs sliding in and out. We booked two suites because of how many of us there were (9 total) but they had them on two different floors and far apart initially. At check-in, she was trying to help by moving our rooms to the same floor, but it meant a downgrade to a basic queen room for half the members of our party and less space. Instead of any kind of partial refund, we were just told someone else would be happy with the 'free upgrade' to our missed suite and that we wouldn't be charged the typical hold for 'incidentals'. The pool is as small as the room, the 'spa' had 1 jet of 6 working so it was more of a warm bathtub. The vending machines take your money but dont give items in return. And don't expect a refund because "that's another company" that runs the vending machines. If we had to spend more than a night there, we would have just left."

"This is a fantastic place for the price. The property is dated and could use some freshening. The staff was fantastic…the girl at check in was an absolute sweetheart!!! Final Comment…will stop there every time on our way to Rocky Mount, NC."

"Let me start off by saying I mistakenly booked a smoking room which was on me. I should have been more diligent when reading the room description instead of just focusing on the price. That being said, when the desk manager told me it was a smoking room, naturally I was upset. I’d been driving for 14 hours so I was exhausted and irritated. The manager was very sympathetic to my issue but the rooms were all sold out. It was too late to cancel the room without being charged and when I called Expedia as he suggested, I was advised it was the hotel’s choice not to charge me. He never mentioned that. That was strike one. The room was absolutely disgusting smelling. The price was way too high for the state of the room. Strike two. And the guests in the adjoining room were super loud along with their television. I could hear every word of their conversation without even wanting to. I called the front desk and nothing was done about it which is bad because it was well after 11:00 pm. I couldn’t sleep all night. My grandson woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose just from the amount of cigarette stench. And that, folks, is strike three. I will not be re-visiting this establishment."
