Learn more about Apex
Wander through historic Salem Street, where the old train depot marks the literal 'peak' of the former Chatham Railroad - hence the town's clever name. Downtown Apex preserves its 19th-century character in a designated historic district where local shops occupy vintage storefronts. Escape to Jordan Lake for boating and wildlife spotting, or pedal along the American Tobacco Trail. The nearby Cloer Family Vineyards offers tastings that prove North Carolina wines deserve more recognition. Harris Lake County Park provides peaceful fishing spots away from weekend crowds. This former tobacco farming community has transformed into a technology hub while maintaining its small-town character - truly living up to its motto as 'The Peak of Good Living.'

"Very friendly staff. Large rooms. Pillows were so thin. Not the cleanest room but overall it was a great experience"

"Honestly the cleanest room I ever been in and the staff were very helpful"
The Umstead Hotel and Spa
"Our third stay at the Umstead, and just for a night. But you really can't beat this property. I couldn't think of a negative aspect if you paid me! We LOVE treating ourselves to a stay at the Umstead - especially in the summer when we can take advantage of the pool!"
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Raleigh Downtown North
"Well located to activities and the fact that they take dogs is the reason I will be back."

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Raleigh - Durham
"We recently enjoyed a 3 day stay at the doubletree. The staff were all helpful.and friendly, and the, suite was very nicely renovated. Bed was comfy and bathroom was well stocked, with nice products and good water pressure. we liked having a fridge and microwave. Rooms were quiet with good sound insulation. Breakfast was solid but fairly basic, and it took some time to get beverages. the gym was adequate but !imited due to work being done in the usual workout room. overall it was a good experience and we would return, especially since we had nice upgrades as Hilton honors members. And don't forget those warm cookies!!"
