"Always clean and friendly staff. Is my go to place each month!"

"It was a great place. The facilities were very clean. The grounds were fabulous. Best thing of all was we were easily able to find the Georgia Tech game and watch the second half."

"The Eco Retreat's location is amazing. The retreat provides an awesome communal cooking arrangement steps away from the beautiful view of the Black Mountains. The location was fantastic and a great option to the standard hotel view. While there are other locations with a mountain view in the area, Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat surpasses them in the acreage of privacy and uninterrupted views of the mountains. "

"If you are going to be near Burnsville for any reason, the NuWray should be part of your plan. Spend the night in beautifully remodeled rooms/bathrooms. Enjoy great food, drinks, service, and live music on-site. Sit on the porch, in the courtyard, or one of the sitting areas in the hotel. Easy parking. We can't wait to go back."

"This place is beautiful. It is clean, well maintained, and very inviting. I highly recommend it if you are looking to a trip to Black Mountain, SC. Be sure to check out Montreat while here. "

"Very friendly front desk staff, great breakfast, easy access from highway. Beautiful location."

"Great location to walk a block to town and walk everywhere. The owners/hosts were so friendly, quiet location, relaxing to sit on the porch in red rockers watching the world go by. Delicious breakfast. Hated to leave."

"Non frills clean motel - 5 stars for price point!! Rooms have microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Convenient to downtown Black Mountain and quiet. I will definitely stay again. "

"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....
