"This was once a grand hotel. It has the whole "Rat Pack" vibe. Honestly, old doesn't bother me, but the carpet was very dingy and rippled which seems like a safety/tripping hazard for some. The room was well-appointed. The tile work in the bathroom was in good condition and seemed above average. It just could use a little sprucing up. "The host is absolutely amazing. Gives the family vibe rather than the cold corporate vibe. That is what made this stay the most pleasant in a long time. Absolutely the best value, pool was clear and room was fairly clean for an older type motel. Right downtown, close to all amenities, markets and shopping. Smaller to go breakfast, but more than enough to eat. Air conditioning works well, linens clean, bar fridge and microwave worked well. Thank you for a great stay, will be back for a visit!!!"
