"The Casablanca Hotel has a very collegial staff who take a lot of pride in the property. The hotel has a dining area with a microwave and an electric kettle that makes breakfast easy, and a spot where you can make a cup of coffee when you want. I was especially impressed with the housekeeping staff. Everyone spoke to this 73 old solo traveler and made me feel welcome. This is a quiet hotel in the middle of everything like fruit vendors, bakeries, and walks to La Rambla de Montevideo, and...

"Beautifully restored building in the old city. Place is in immaculate condition. Super friendly staff. Very convenient - lots of restaurants, cafes, bars steps away and only about a 15 min walk from the ferry terminal. Note - as it’s an old building, there is no elevator for those who may like to travel with more luggage or have mobility issues."
