"Although it was not easy to drive to the resort from Dar es Salaam (especially with our RAV4), our family had a wonderful stay there and is definitely willing to go back there. As many reviews of Tripadvisor already mentioned, the foods in the resort were fantastic. Grandparents, me and my husband, and our children (5 & 3 years old) all waited for the next meal time to taste something new and joyful. We had a boat trip to Mangroves which was very next to the resort which didn't cost a lot but...

"The resort is so beautiful and located on one of the best beach fronts of Zanzibar however, the service was terrible one of the worst check in/out experiences they are very slow and made so many mistakes in our bill we had to spend 45min during check out. The rooms cleaning are not really good and I had to go back to them several times to re do the work. The food is below average .. its really a shame that services were not up to the standards of this beautiful property "

"Low rise buildings (mostly ‘bungalows’) set in colourful, well tended gardens within the owners grounds, with direct and wide access to a beautiful beach. The owners treat visitors almost as their personal guests (in a non invasive friendly way) The manager Margaret speaks good English and could not be more helpful or friendly. The staff team too are friendly and efficient. Flame tree cottages has a well kept swimming pool

pool/ beach was great. Staff around the hotel were nice and friendly. The room cleaning was not very good as they don’t change the bed sheets unless you tell them to overall bath room cleaning was also very poor the room didn’t look cleaned very well. Also the room is very out dated looks old for 5 star resort the mosquito net on the bed was broken from the top so wasn’t working some things in the room wasn’t working and wasn’t being replaced after cleaning it...
