The staff really went the extra mile to help us. We had to get up extra early and check out for a tour later that day in Paris. They prepared for us an excellent breakfast outside of the normal hours.
I loved this hotel!!! The room was beautiful and spacious. The restaurant was amazing! The courses were delightful, the cheeses were amazing and the wine was delicious. I would love to come back here again.
Absolutely extraordinary property. Easily the best property in Sancerre. However, when we stayed the restaurant had to shut down for a mechanical difficulty, thus canceling a reservation that we were really looking forward to. Still, a spectacular hotel with some of the coolest views of the Loire to be seen.
This was a great find. We normally break our journey through France with overnight breaks near Orleans or Bourges but decided to give Vierzon a try. The Chalet de la Forêt was easy to find, the reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our chalet was spacious, clean and air conditioned with a good walk in shower....and a large comfy bed.

Beautiful home, full of books and art. This is not a fancy or high-end luxury experience; but a beautiful and charming rural experience with a great deal of grace, serenity, nature, culture -- if you like books, dining, wine, and nature, book several days here. Bruno and Marrianne are lovely to be around.
We had a fantastic stay at L'Oustal. Our host, Magalie, was incredibly kind and helpful. The home is absolutely beautiful, tidy, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was a cut above other places we have stayed, really nice. The house is just north of the city center on the other side of the railroad tracks. We walked everywhere, never felt a need to drive or ride a bus. There is a wonderful Italian restaurant very close by, highly recommended. Keep in mind that check-in time is not until 5:00, so...
This was a great hotel with friendly staff. There are not a lot of options for food/drink within walking distance, but there are multiple villages with a 5 mile radius.
This place oozes charm. The manager/owner speaks impeccable English. We particularly enjoyed meeting Mimi, the incredibly friendly cat who (with a wee bit of canine assistance) diligently patrols the yard.
Great location within easy walk to palace and cathedral. Parking was a little tricky but the hotel staff were super helpful in finding it and it was free when we stayed. Great value for France as this is a new and elegant hotel.
