Sleeping Bear Hotel Dorchester
10/10 Excellent
"We arrived late at the Sleeping Bear Hotel and the self check-in was incredibly easy and smooth. We simply pressed the green button by the door and followed the instructions. Walking through the hallway, staircase and lovely sitting/living room area with my daughter, we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and cosy everything looked. There were lots of comfortable sofas with cushions, making it feel just like home, and we loved that we could make coffee from the machine whenever we wanted. Our room was very clean and cosy, and the mattress was unbelievably comfortable and soft. At check-out, the two lovely ladies at reception even found me a takeaway cup so I could take my coffee with me. A truly wonderful stay — I will definitely be coming back!"
The Knoll House

"Great location and excellent room and breakfast Given the amazing weather we had no need for the pool but don’t think its right to charge for using it"
The Jubilee Hotel East- with Spa Facilities

"All staff members were very friendly and helpful, entertainment was good."
The Jubilee Hotel West- with Spa Facilities
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice hotel in a great location, room was more than adequate for our needs, just a couple minor faults in bathroom, a damp smell & shower head holder needed replacing as didn’t keep head in place, all the staff were excellent but a special shout out to Charlie who checked us in & was so cheerful & full of useful information about Weymouth to make our break even more enjoyable, he’s a huge asset to your hotel."
Hotel du Vin & Bistro Poole

"It has been redecorated, all very good."
Purbeck House Hotel
8/10 Good
"We had two rooms in the main house on the top floor. We did not see the inside of the lodges. Experia had a good late offer on a Deluxe Superior Room (which the hotel itself wouldn’t price match) which worked out the same price as a standard sea view room that we had booked through the hotel directly. The rooms were a good size and standard (especially the Superior). The bathrooms in both rooms were a bit tired and perhaps most disappointing was the bath tap mixer shower which just provided a trickle in the standard room. The building is impressive from the outside and interesting on the inside. We liked the period features inside the hotel which included rows of old servants bells and various staircases (but no lift). The lounges, bar and outside seating area were also pleasant with period features but seemed to be hardly used by the guests which was surprising during peak August time. The gardens were well maintained. Breakfast in the conservatory was also pleasant and had all the basics available (cereals, croissants, various breads, coffee machine, but there was no cooked option and most fruits were tinned (grapefruit, raspberries etc). The staff were all friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you prefer somewhere that is interesting with some history rather than a typical hotel room and if you don’t mind a few creaks and old fashioned plumbing."
