"Small, clean room and ensuite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No car park, but parking on the road nearby. Good choice of cooked breakfast, but limited choice of healthy options - some yoghurt and fruit would have been nice."

"Lovely well kept grounds,comfortable beds,helpful staff and food decent enough. Nice walk into town centre. I would like a better light for nighttime reading and a bigger television(visual impairment) My 3rd time staying here while visiting the D and G hospital and I would happily stay here again."

"The Hill Hotel is located in a quiet location, but is only a 10-15 minute walk into the center of Dumfries. The building interior has been lovingly restored, and is very clean. The owners are very friendly and gave us lots of great advice about places to visit in the surrounding areas. A very good breakfast too! Highly recommended."
