Unbelievable bargain of the century. The hotel was newly renovated, everything was shiny and new. The staff were incredible helpful and the buffet breakfast was the best I have ever seen as a free perk. Free parking is a big bonus too. Great base of operations to explore the Algarve.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is exactly as pictured. Staff was amazing. A few tiny gripes: there is no heated pool or jacuzzi, linens are done every 3rd day and only 1 towel per person is supplied. We did not feel misled in any way, but this is not the "typical" American experience. These small inconveniences did little to distract from a wonderful stay.

The hot tub was not working during our stay. I had to ask the front desk for a blow dryer because the one in the room was very old and didn't blow hot air. The breakfast was ok, basic cereal, bread etc. But you could ask for hot eggs. There were a lot of restaurants within walking distance.
The pool area was beautiful. The distance to the water was an easy walk. The staff were all very nice. We had lunch one day by the pool, and the pizza was amazing! Drinks were reasonable and delicious....

The front desk staff were the most friendly, gracious and helpful of all staff we have encountered in nearly six weeks of European travel. The hotel is in a quiet area of the very pleasant city of Loulé within easy walking distance of the historic old narrow street part of the town. In addition to typical breakfast food, included was a delightful selection of fresh fruit and an excellent espresso or café machine.
Overall a very nice stay at a fun hotel. Really the only slightly negative thing I can say is the bathrooms are quite small. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Just above the crazy fray of the town proper up a small 2 block hill. Great views from the roof top pool terrace! Room was comfy (although mattresses are the typical Portuguese spring hard beds that poke you in your sleep). The room was very good, water pressure in shower was good! Fridge in room was a nice bonus. Breakfast was underwhelming, but cheap and handy so there is that. Would stay again- although Albuferia is not exactly up our alley, it was a funny town to see once ;)
Everyone was very friendly among the staff. the breakfast was generous and delightful. The room was well equipped and any minor problems were dealt with instantly.
