Maharagama Hotels

Stayed here for a few nights and mostly used it as a place to sleep. The hotel was pretty nice for the price. It had a B&B atmosphere to it. The room and the bathroom were fairly clean and comfortable. We felt very safe at this property. For shopping and dining, there's not much in the surrounding area which was the only downside. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

One of the best hotels that my family and I have stayed in. We have used a lot of different hotels throughout the world and Shangri La Colombo ranks one of the best we have stayed in. Even with all the difficulties SL is in now, the hotel staff saw to our comfort without any complaints. I salute the staff and management for their gracious hospitality. Thank you!

very relax

We were disappointed that we were unable to stay more than one night! My partner and I misread our flight schedule and had to leave a night earlier than anticipated. The Cinnamon Red staff were wonderful and we were given a beautiful room fir our final night in Colombo. We paid extra for late check-out and it was worth it! We will definitely stay again if we're lucky enough to visit Sri Lanka again. Thank you

GREAT location in heart of city overlooking ocean! I needed early check-in after 30 hours of travel and the lobby staff was very helpful. I will be staying here again & have recommended this place to my friends.

Staff is really nice and attentive

after a week in Colombo i sought four hotels and stayed in two, all the cinnamon hotels do not compared to the room size,friendly staff and bathroom than the Ramada did. the stay in the Ramada was great, I wish I stayed there the whole week instead of the cinnamon lakeside.

I recently visited Colombo for 5 days in October 2025 and stayed at 50 by the Sea - Had an excellent stay there and all my expectations were met - at times went above the expectations also. The apartment looks very new, is very well maintained and most importantly, its extremely clean. Ive visited Colombo many times and many times, I faced the issue of not so clean bathrooms at some residences - at 50 by the Sea, the bathrooms were so clean and neat that it looked like a 5 star hotel's...

Staff and service was amazing, however property looks rundown and haven’t maintained properly.

I truly enjoyed my stay here. I loved the historical significance of this hotel. I rated it exceptionally well because one must understand that the hotel is over 175 years old. Sri Lanka has to recognize the importance of preserving this historical part of town. So much potential in these golden age buildings
