"We stayed in one of the hot tub rooms and had a blast, the room was just what we were looking for and views over the bay were spectacular. I would recommend this place a must visit."
"Beautiful hotel and grounds in a great area, within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and riverside walk. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was superb with no wait. The hotel is a little run-down and needing investment but that was reflected in the price I paid; the overall experience and service was first rate."
"Everything was just brilliant, the staff was very friendly and the food was grate, maybe could do with bigger peace of stake for next time , but other than that it was amazing."
"Beautiful building and grounds, with plenty of place in the rooms and the house to just spread out and relax (Library, Music Room, bar...). Very friendly and helpful staff - we'll be happy to return..."
"Was initially taken aback at how run down the exterior of the hotel is. No staff at the hotel - you receive a code which you use to open a key safe, where you find a key to the front door and your room. Room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable but we never saw a living soul so I found it a bit spooky. Great location."
"Great hotel with easy bus/taxi link.s into Edinburgh city centre. Breakfast was a good standard with plenty of options available.
The staff were ves⁰ry helpful and courteous.
Good car parking facilities.
The rooms were clean and serviced every day.

So cute and quaint! I wish I could have stayed another day to explore and chat with locals.
The dining room and breakfast was classy for a small venue.
Orchard House Lodges was our base for nearly a week. It was the perfect place to unwind and rest after our days of touring beautiful Scotland. It was clean and furnished with everything we needed, including preparing simple meals when we desired. The views are beautiful, it’s very quiet, and only a couple of miles into town for any shopping needs or restaurants/take-outs you may want. Overall a wonderful choice for those who don’t love crowded cities and hotels! Oh, and the highland coos are...
Amazing mansion conversion into an event center and hotel. And there is even a lift to get you up to the top floor! Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. It was somewhat difficult for me to find using GPS. Needed to ask for help at the Tesco petrol station.
Wow! From the time you pull into the parking lot until you check out! Friendly and professional staff, spacious room and the castle is clean, clean, clean throughout! Thank you, Fiona and Michelle in reception, Josh and the hostess for the restaurant, (I didn't get her name), and Giuseppe (?) and Dami (?) at the bar, for giving our first trip to Scotland a wonderful start. We're grateful for Fiona willing to accommodate our daughters last minute plans to join us even though the hotel was fully...
Beautiful impression as you enter. Staff were awesome. Terrific view of the golf course and people playing with their dogs. Very comfortable and relaxing.
The receptionists and other workers were very welcoming and professional and helpful and accomodating.I dont like the rule of the hotel about you cant bring outside food(cooked) like pizza and food in box etc., into your room. That is the worse rule you can have at a hotel without a proper explanation that makes sense. Was told guests complain about the smell. That cant be.Because if a restaurant is on property, how does that explanation make sense. If one is worried about rats and cockroaches...
Dalhousie Castle is the ideal place if you're looking to stay in a castle in the Edinburgh area. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the city center which is just far enough to be out in the peaceful Scottish countryside. The castle itself is absolutely beautiful, and sits on grounds that are equally so, with archery, falconry, and several great walking paths.
The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and accommodating - we were even greeted by a nice gentleman in full Scottish garb who...
We had an amazing stay from start to finish. Ian gave us a tour if the castle along with a history. The rooms were cozy, the bed was very comfortable. The owners even gave us a ride to the tram when we were unable to find a taxi. Sue and Ian are a friendly helpful couple.
We loved our one night stay here. I was worried because I didn’t realize there was no lift on the property, but the staff was very helpful in getting us to our room.
