This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Pictou. The decor is amazing and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. There is breakfast available in the dining room and also several other good dining options in easy walking distance. The owner is super friendly and invites guests to hang out on the beautiful back porch to relax. Definitely recommended!
Stephan is an engaging and caring host. We liked the Japanese feel of the bedroom and the clean, modern bathroom. The quiet at night was wonderful! We have fond memories of our animal hosts, too- Tin-Tin the cat and Emily and Rosa, the goats.
Accommodations were wonderful. Door was left open to the building and we had self check in. We were disappointed by the fact that when we booked The Customs House Inn, breakfast was provided in the rate. When we arrived, we were told that there was no breakfast but would receive a discount. The discount amounted to $6.00 for the 2 of us. It would have been nice to have known about this prior to arrival.
This was the best place I have ever stayed at. The setting, views, lodging and staff are wonderful! I highly recommend this place to all who want to relax and play golf in a spectacular setting, while being treated like royalty!
