"Warm welcome. Lovely couple providing impeccable hospitality through our stay...a perfect weekend away with the wife and some much needed R and R away from our busy lives back home. They were more than happy to tell us about the area, including places to eat and walks etc. Food was amazing...all cooked to order, and locally sourced. The attention to detail was brilliant...eg. Providing cold fresh milk in thermo canisters for our room. Home made shortbread to accompany fresh locally sourced...

"Lovely place, rural which I liked. They had chalets behind the property down a small hill. It was so cosy. Meals in the pub had plenty of variety as well as breakfast. They also had some star gazing rooms (where roof opens up). Enjoyed my stay and would book again."

"Staff were very friendly. Head of house gave us a fabulous Welcome. The accommodation and eating area was spotless, which is very surprising for a dog friendly Inn. Sports bar was a lovely addition to entertain us, on our one night stay."

"This a really high standard stay. The owners are very service minded and nice. The room was as good as you can get. Perfect, clean, nice beds, minibar and strong wifi. Parking is free. Breakfast was after your choice and perfect. Neighbor is a pub were you can have dinner."

"Disappointing stay - room was described as 'deluxe' but was on the small side and being up in the eaves of the roof meant one of us had to duck to get in and out of bed. No turn down / refresh on day 1, no waste bin, small but basic things - especially at the price paid. Staff although friendly, were difficult to find (only available via WhatsApp ??), reception never staffed. Overall a great a shame as the hotel has a beautiful setting and grounds. We wint be returning. "

"What a hidden gem The Annex, Rose Cottage is. Perfectly situated if you want a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of life! Nancy & Paddy are very welcoming hosts on hand to offer local knowledge on the best pubs to visit, walks to take or supply any small thing you may have forgotten. The cottage is beautifully presented , warm and clean with a very comfortable sofa and bed. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I have experienced with everything that is required - a real home from...
