"First night we stayed in a updated room and was very pleased. Then we came back 2 days later and was put in the Chelsea tower which is old. Wall paper falling off the walls, bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows where so high that I couldn't use it otherwise I would of killed my neck. Very disappointed we always stay at the Tropicana. "

"During my dog’s final days, we brought him to Atlantic City, a place he loved, to say goodbye to the world. The hotel front desk showed him such compassion and respect, despite his appearance being affected by radiation therapy. It meant so much to us that our family was allowed to share a quiet, meaningful lunch with him in the hotel restaurant. Only two days later, he passed away peacefully. The kindness we experienced here will always stay in my heart.Thank you for making such a difficult time a little more gentle"

"Everything looked over worn. The rooms need to be renovated. The bed and pillows were comfortable. No security personnel before taking the elevators to the rooms. Upon taking a shower, we let the water run for about 10 minutes the water never got hot it stayed warm. when checking out they charged us more money than anticipated, because we booked with Expedia and they mentioned that if we booked ahead, we would not pay anything at the hotel. In other words, everything would be covered. When we checked out, they charged us an additional $45.00. I went to the check-out desk to dispute the charges the representative indicated that we did not read the fine print. Therefore, we had to pay that amount. It was unfair, because I read everything before making the reservation and we still had to pay the charges. "

"This place beats all of the dated casinos any day of the week. Unless you’re looking to drop $400 a night you can’t beat it. Great place."

"I had a really great time at showboat this weekend. I just wish it had more food options on site. But everything was great nonetheless."
