The service was wonderful. Nice hotel clerk and very friendly. He called our room to see if everything was good in our room, housekeeping does a wonderful job everything was so clean and smelled wonderful. We stayed in the non-smoking. The breakfast was delicious. The lady that worked in the dining area was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. We will for sure come back and stay here. Safe place also! LOVED IT!!!

This hotel surpassed my expectations. I always stay at Hampton Inn's. NOW, the only thing I didnt like was the fact that Expedia charged more money for the room then the price I could have got if I called the hotel direct. In fact $20 more. So because of this unfortunate error on my part for using Expedia, who claims to get you the cheapest price. S U C K M E E X P E D I A YOU ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF EVERYDAY AND WE ARE TOO DUMB TO REALIZE...

I happened upon this place while searching online and liked that it was a more primitive place than the the large mansion b&b's. This cottage housed the editor of the newspaper during the Seige of Vicksburg, and had given up its wallpaper to use for printing the paper when the town was being starved of supplies. The stay included a fancy breakfast that was served at the Duff Mansion the next morning, so I got the mansion experience just the same! The breakfast was served by a man named David...
