We stayed there as a last minute added night on our Maine trip late August. The location and views were amazing and Jersey is a hoot. He gives the orientation tour at check in and is very accommodating. The space is beautiful and our room was comfortable and spotless. We liked the community kitchen concept and would appreciate that next time if we stayed more to an a night. I would highly recommend this Inn and its sister property. Very relaxing vibes.
We loved the view, along with the kindness and attentiveness of all who worked there. The location was great and made it easy to get to other places of interest in the area, great restaurants, botannical gardens, etc.
Steve, the Innkeeper was most welcoming to his impeccable old house inn. He extended his genuinely gracious warmth to each person with typical NE polite restraint.
The breakfast was simple with hot beverages and homemade banana bread. Each guest room had access to the mini kitchen w/ refrig in large but cozy dining area. The lovely garden was delightfully welcoming, homey and unpretentious.
You could not go wrong staying at Hawks House Inn.
The building is ‘basic hotel’ but nicely done, with a great view over the harbor. It might not satisfy a craving for luxury but there’s nothing to complain about except the turkey bacon!
The staff was super friendly and helpful, they let me borrow a hair dryer and they always said hello when I entered the building. The water pressure in this hotel is on another level, amazing shower. The hotel is literally a two minute walk from Main Street, super walkable. Had a great stay, will be back!
Loved the view, the back porch. Bed was huge and comfortable. Shower was strong. Clean and comfortable room. Right on US 1, yet quiet, little to no highway sound. Convenient location between Rockland and Camden. Good food in area, even in off season.
I arrived at the Island View very late in the evening. I got my key and went right up to my room and went to bed thinking that it was just a regular room in a regular hotel. I awoke the next morning to a stunning view from my private sunroom. If I had any complaint about the hotel it would be that the air conditioning unit was incredibly loud. Great location and fantastic view. The room was clean and well stocked with towels and amenities. The towels are soft and have a luxury feel. Will definitely stay here again whenever I visit the Camden area.
Stayed at the inn for a night while heading to Acadia. The pool was well kept with a garden.
They are renovating some parts of the inn which looks great. The room was spacious and clean.
This was our first stay in a traditional bed and breakfast and it was fantastic. The room was super cozy with a very comfortable bed and an amazing luxurious shower. The evening snacks and breakfast amenities were outstanding as well. We highly recommend the Talbot House and will be returning in the future.
We didn’t get to enjoy this hotel long enough! We arrived late and the front desk person called us to assure us he’s available even though the door was locked. Beautifully designed and so so comfortable and clean. My favourite was the towel warmer such a treat to get out the shower after a 5 hour drive and that roof view!
