Words don't do justice to Quimby Inn and Suites. A Stunning period property on one of the main strips in Bar Harbor. It provides an excellent base to explore the town, Island and Acadia National Park. The staff were polite and knowledgeable and were always on hand to help. The rooms were spacious and comfortable meeting all of our needs. We will most definitely back and can't speak highly enough of the hotel and its staff.

Quiet location, excellent management, comfortable bed, nice furnishings, good continental breakfast with (as everybody mentions) delicious muffins. Our only complaint is why I downgraded "comfort" & "condition" slightly, as there doesn't seem to be anyplace else where it fits. The tub/shower in Room 17 is old (naturally; the age of everything is a large part of the inn's charm) & requires a long step (at least for us senior citizens) up to get inside and down to leave.
