Beneath the Sierra Nevada's watchful gaze, Lake Isabella's sparkling waters beckon with endless possibilities. Rent a boat and skim across the reservoir's surface, or cast a line where trophy bass lurk in hidden coves. The Nuui Cunni Native American Cultural Center offers fascinating insights into indigenous heritage through authentic artifacts and storytelling. Nearby Sequoia National Forest provides hiking trails through towering pines, while Kern River's rushing waters create world-class rafting adventures. Lake Isabella RV Resort
"Area was stunning especially at sunrise. Ginny was super super nice. Just plan on using the showers in bathrooms by pool for goid shower and keep a supply of water in your bathroom to flush the toilet t"
Riverview Lodge
"We had Room #9 King terrace with river view. Its literally 50 yards from the river. Bbqs to use, fishing poles, probably a lot more. Totally worth it, the owners and staff are fantastic. I will be back for sure. - Jaz"
Kernville Inn
"Great location for white water rafting with Sierra South. Room was quaint, clean and roomy. Water from the river is nearby. Would definitely stay again."
Lakeview Motel
"The location makes walking to the lake or gas station easy and a breeze. Place is clean, has A/C, and a fridge. Staff is friendly but not there most time, you have privacy. A thing I would recommend is bring your own towel, they are available they run small. Dollar Tree is an easy walk. Plus, they have televisions that connect to the Internet so you have some entertainment. Overall good."
Lakeshore Lodge
"Room was clean and comfortable but no maid service given between nights. Walking distance to Lake Isabella with a view from window. Remote-off-site check-in at nearby Barewood Motel after 3pm. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and bed, AC & paddle fan on ceiling kept it cool in very hot weather. Good TV choices. No breakfast provided other than coffee, so bring food, beverages, snacks or stop at a store on the way and use fridge and microwave. Restaurants 5 minute drive away in Kernville. No pool. Free parking. Quiet. I'd stay there again."
Corral Creek Lodge
"we liked the location as it had easy access to the river. The place was quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. The parking was easy and nice. We didn't interact with the staff much, but those that we did interact with were pleasant. Our only criticism was as regards the kitchen. The electric stove top had only one working burner. The refrigerator was not set properly and thus many of our food items froze. But, when set properly it worked fine. So check refrigerator settings when putting ones food in. The lighting in the kitchen area is poor as the light source is kind of behind the area of operations. Note though, we did not bring this to the management's attention during our visit. But, in our defense, we expected everything to be operational when we arrived. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again."
