Very friendly staffs. We LOVED the thermal pool! Natural hot springs. 3 different pools and very relaxing. They also have a bar/cafe right next to the thermal pool and they serve fresh squeezed juices. Breakfast - most selections. Very delicious.
I was looking for an authentic place to stay in Muro Lucano and Nonna's was it! You can walk to many places but know that there are many steps and hills. Grocery store a minute walk down the street.

A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours.
Everything about our stay was incredible. Friendly hosts, beautiful property, the bubble dome was clean and looked exactly like the pictures,the breakfast was huge and delcious.

Very nice hotel, in a remote area of italy , but a great stop along your drive to the west coast... Everyone was happy to help us , they spoke little english , but went out of there way to help.. The restaurant was GREAT, the chief made a amazing meal... the suff tried so hard to help and understand us.. we made it work and it was a great overnight stop and stay for some rest
This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in Italy! The service, the restaurant, the food! It was amazing! Recommended. Also a cafe, gym, connivence stores within walking distance.
Michele and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The only thing I can say that might be a detriment is the air conditioning could have been stronger. I will say that is was in the high 90s. I would definitely use this hotel again

If you have travel plans in this somewhat remote area of Italy you cannot do better than this hotel. Clean, comfortable, quiet —friendly staff, some of whom speak very good English. Hotel restaurant is very good for dinner and serves a buffet breakfast too. We arrived late and were very happy with the convenience and quality of the on site restaurant for dinner. What a wonderful, quiet sanctuary with the modern facilities and amazing chef it also has the qualities of being able to visit Melfi, which is a wonderful town rich in history. This hotel is worth the trip and you will find you get far more than what you pay for. I highly recommend it.
