It's feeding time at the zoo! If you can't resist those cuddly critters you might want to pay a trip to Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, one of the attractions in the heart of Stonham Aspal. If you have fun at Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, you'll love Helmingham Hall and Debenham Leisure Centre, both located nearby.
Excellent hotel thoroughly enjoyed the stay. However, I do feel potential guests should be made aware of the difficult stairs to top floor rooms prior to booking.
Lovely couple that host the B &B were so nice and took great care of us. The room was spacious and full of light with many windows and yet private. Breakfast was fantastic and filling.
The countryside around the home was breathtaking and remote, yet close to pubs and larger cities.
I had a wonderful visit to Retreat East. The room was wonderful and I took advantage of the free hot tub, steam and sauna. The food for dinner was exceptional and the continental breakfast (also included in the price) was varied and plentiful. I would recommend Retreat East to anyone.
The hotel is a beautifully converted Salthouse. It has modern amenities but has maintained the old character of the building.
The staff were excellent; very friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay there the next time I'm in Ipswich.
Rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good and great value. If we had any issues, the staff were quick to fix them. Thank you.
The Marquis has just completed renovations, and while there were a few teething problems, the staff was wonderful. They could not have done more to make our stay wonderful. Special shout out to David, Ryann, Lucy, Emma, Kate, Annabelle, Carmin, and everyone else we came in contact with, all were wonderful.
The spa and pool were not even mentioned as they just opened, the facility is one of the best we ever visited, again with the staff to match.
We are looking forward to our next stay.
