"The reception staff in the evening were lovely, chatty and very helpful, the morning staff were quite short and terse.
The pool facilities were ideal and again friendly and helpful staff.
I was on my own, but I felt very comfortable and safe there. I will definitely stay there again."
"It is a good location and convenient for the park and ride into Bristol. It is on the marina there is plenty of cafes and restaurants. The room is clean comfortable and modern"
"The property was amazing. I had a nice stay. Only downside was the paid parking, a little expensive. But somewhat worth it. Its a lovely place. Higly recommend. I experienced peace abd quietness"
"fantastic gem of a place. superb setting. 2-3 great pubs and really good indian restaurants all within 100 yards of the hotel which looks great for romantic setting. i was travelling on business and wish i had discovered this years ago. book well in advance ."
"Super clean, spacious rooms. Love the little tea tray in the room. Staff were very friendly and we had a drink in the bar late in the evening and a game of chess. Highly recommend."
"No frills hotel that does the job. Only thing personally, was that the toilet was quite low for someone my height 6'-2". Other than that, it was convenient for our flight from Bristol airport as it situated right next to the M4."

Room was large and beds and pillows very comfortable. We had a nice meal for dinner. Breakfast was included and I had the best scrambled eggs ever. Portions are large and were offered fresh fruit and cereal as well. It was a little cool but in nice weather they have nice outdoor dining and drink area. Very happy with our stay. Friendly staff.
We needed 2 last-minute rooms and we hit the jackpot here! Super clean, well maintained, free parking, and best of all during this heatwave, wonderful air conditioning! Close to Tintern Abbey (25 minutes) and Cardiff (35 mins).
Only thing lacking are washcloths (or "flannels" as they are referred to in the UK), but most hotels don't stock them we are finding. Highly recommend staying here over Cardiff.
Nice room, although the electrical outlets were inconveniently placed. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and very close to the Welsh National Roman Legion Museum.
This was truly an authentic overnight stay in a castle built in the early 1500's. The castle was amazing by itself, but our room, Henry VIII, was an experience by itself! It was exactly what we had hoped for and more than we expected. The bedding and towels were outstanding as was the comfort of the bed. The shower was also great plus there was a jacuzzi tub. We could not determine how to turn on the heated towel rack, and we had issues with turning on the fireplace (so did the gentleman...
The staff were very welcoming. I was traveling alone so decided to book the snug bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised. It was well equipped with tea and coffee facilities, large disabled access wet room. TV and an extra rad if I was cold. For the one night stay it had everything I needed. Breakfast was delicious with fresh orange juice and service you could not fault
The evening staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. Hotel entrance was hard to find, however once we did everything was great. Very convenient to the city center and the Cardiff Castle.
