This is a beautiful property - a farm, meadows, woods and of course a magnificently rehabilitated and renovated farmhouse for the bed and breakfast. The hosts are gracious and charming and discreet. The breakfast was delicious and the setting is simply perfect tucked as it is, in the rolling hills of the region.
Steve, the Innkeeper was most welcoming to his impeccable old house inn. He extended his genuinely gracious warmth to each person with typical NE polite restraint.
The breakfast was simple with hot beverages and homemade banana bread. Each guest room had access to the mini kitchen w/ refrig in large but cozy dining area. The lovely garden was delightfully welcoming, homey and unpretentious.
You could not go wrong staying at Hawks House Inn.
Close to 95 so super convenient. Nice lobby and common areas. Room was a studio apartment which was great. Comfortable bed, great shower, very clean, quiet night's sleep. Breakfast was so/so but Covid. Ocean at the front desk was very professional and efficient. We would return to this hotel.
We had an issue with parking after coming back from a night on the town. Someone had taken the space in front of our door. The vehicle owner said there was a first come first serve parking policy according to the Senator. It was winter with a lot of snow. I didn't want to have to walk around the building. Luckily there was a spot open a few rooms away.
We enjoyed a great breakfast in the morning. Wait staff were awesome and attentive.
We stayed in 7 different B&B's on our vacation and although they were all very nice, this was the best. From the road it's hard to get a feel for the Inn. The intriguing hand carved wood screen door signals something different is ahead. Once inside the beautiful post and beam construction and lovely decor impress and confirm you made the right choice. The owners have a great story that will make you feel envious that your not a wild Maine blueberry farmer with acres of maple trees for syrup...
It was a great stay. Husband and I only stayed for the night, but it was a great stay. Clean and comfy. Close to shopping and places to eat. Walk across the street to Margaritas.
The breakfast was lacking. But it was at least something to eat if someone wanted to eat quickly.
Stayed at the inn for a night while heading to Acadia. The pool was well kept with a garden.
They are renovating some parts of the inn which looks great. The room was spacious and clean.
The check in was really easy. The staff was super friendly. I am truly picky when it comes to cleanliness so trust me when I say I was looking. This place passed my inspection.
