We very much enjoyed our stay at the Kirkstyle hotel! Charming and comfortable. Manager was very helpful and met us for a late check in due to flights delays. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the suite was large and comfortable for us as well. Breakfast was delicious and our server Rachel very helpful by answering all questions related to food (we are American and had not been to Scotland before). She also had a good sense of humor. Dalhousie Castle is the ideal place if you're looking to stay in a castle in the Edinburgh area. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the city center which is just far enough to be out in the peaceful Scottish countryside. The castle itself is absolutely beautiful, and sits on grounds that are equally so, with archery, falconry, and several great walking paths. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and accommodating - we were even greeted by a nice gentleman in full Scottish garb who...
