Helpful, pleasant staff. Lovely position. We stayed in room right on the water, verandah looking out through flame tree over the bay. Minor design problem in that shutters and whole room could either be open on the view, or we could turn on aircon. Think it was unusually hot when we were there. Good restaurants in walking distance, town easily accessed by local bus. Close to airport.
Stayed 2 nights here to "recover" before the long trip home. After touring the South Pacific, it was nice to have air conditioning, a clean room, reliable hot water, and drinkable right from the tap! We could have just hung out at the pool or lagoon, but decided to explore for a day anyway; convenient for that as well.

It was excellent. Had a layover in Vanuatu and would definitely return for a longer holiday in the future. The staff were amazing and very helpful with local information and what to do in my limited time in country. The pool and restaurant were great. Would recommend.
property only recently reopened after covid but they have done a good job getting ready. the managers kim and freddy do such a great job looking after the guests they really do go above and beyond. they make great food in their small restaurant really worth a try. only thing to note compared to website is that there is no oven or washing machine in the rooms and wifi is turned on and off to the room so if its a last minute booking you may not have wifi. This was the perfect place for us! They took great care of us, always made arrangements as we needed, the room was clean and we were grateful to have air conditioning coming from cold Chicago. We would definitely choose Poppys for any stay in Port Vila.
Arriving a little late, the dinner service was incredibly slow but the days after quite normal and very friendly.The room was very nice with a balcony and view on the swimming pool and the harbour.I will certainly come back and highly recommend this hotel.
